- What does a typical session include?
- We start with thorough evaluation of the body by examining posture, range of motion, movement patterns, gait, nerve tension, strength, myofascial restrictions, balance, etc.
- There will be some manual therapy which may involve a combination of techniques, depending on what strategies are appropriate to best help the client.
- Therapeutic exercise/neuromuscular re-education and home exercise program will be taught to encourage and re-enforce what was indicated during assessment and to encourage what was just worked on with manual treatment.
- What types of conditions to you treat?
- Some common diagnoses include low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, disc buldge/herniation, scoliosis, headaches, tendonitisis/tendonosis, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff/labral repairs, golfer/tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, total hip/total knee replacements, meniscus repairs, plantar fasciitis, strains/sprains, BPPV, gait dysfunction, performance limitations.
- Treatment is not limited to the above diagnoses.
- Do you utilize PT techs or assistants?
- No. As a client of Journey PT, you have the opportunity to work exclusively with a PT for your entire session. We feel this 1:1 treatment approach will fast track your results and result in less overall visits with faster healing time.
- Do you take my insurance?
- Journey PT is not a participating provider with any insurance plans. Why? We don’t want insurance to dictate your treatment plan. Also, we would not be able to provide the same excellent level of treatment.
- PT clinics that accept insurance requites their PTs to see an average of 2-4 patients per hour while utilizing aides and technicians.
- By providing 1:1 PT to patient care we can spend more time with patients and get them better in fewer visits with most patients only requiring one session per week.
- If you have out of network benefits you can submit a superbill for direct reimbursement from your insurance company after your visit.
